William Stewart

Mr. Stewart is the founder and President of Asia Pacific Ventures (www.apvco.com) and has advised over 300 U.S. venture backed IT start-up companies in the Japan/Asia marketplace, raising more than $2 billion in equity, debt and joint venture financing over the past 15 years. Mr. Stewart is also the founding General Partner of APV Technology Partners I, II and III with over $200 million in early stage venture funding under management. Prior to founding the Asia Pacific Venture companies, Mr. Stewart was a senior executive for NEC in Japan.

Christopher Barber
General Partner
Mr. Barber is a 17 year veteran of Wall Street, and has managed Sand Hill’s venture debt business for over three and a half years. Prior to Sand Hill, Mr. Barber was Managing Director and Group Head in-charge of UBS’s Large Cap Technology Investment Banking effort, providing corporate finance and advisory services to the 30 largest U.S. based technology companies. Prior to that Mr. Barber was Managing Director and Group Head in-charge of debt private placements and leverage finance at Prudential Securities. Mr. Barber also spent many years at Citigroup originating structured debt and leveraged finance solutions.

Paul Sestili
General Partner
Mr. Sestili has over 15 years of professional experience, the last seven in Venture Capital, including over two years managing Sand Hill Capital’s equity funds. Prior to Sand Hill, Mr. Sestili spent five years with APV Technology Partners, an early-stage Venture Capital firm in Palo Alto. Prior to APV, he managed Chevron Corporation’s first venture fund. Mr. Sestili has founded two start-up companies and was an engineer for six years at the beginning of his career.

Franklin Loffer
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Loffer has been involved in the operational and financial divisions of the Fund industry for over fourteen years. He joined Sand Hill Capital in April of 2004. Prior to Sand Hill, Mr. Loffer served as the Director of Fund Administration and Compliance at MVC Capital, the first publicly-traded venture capital firm. During his tenure at MVC Capital, Mr. Loffer assisted in the $330 million raise of capital in March of 2000. Prior to MVC Capital, Mr. Loffer spent six years managing the accounting functions for approximately 12 global debt and equity funds with combined assets exceeding $2.5 billion at GT Global.

Ian Shelswell
Associate
Mr. Shelswell has over 3 years of experience as an analyst in the Global Technology investment banking division of UBS. While at UBS, Mr. Shelswell worked on a variety of public and private financings and M&A advisory assignments for companies in the technology sector. Mr. Shelswell has a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
